About the adventure

In the mounting conflict between the siblings of the great unified southern empire. A band of highly effective specialists have been entrusted with a mission to get behind enemy lines and gather sensitive intelligence from the enemies of there chosen faction with the aim of returning to a boarder fort before a certain time. The realm has been has been at war between the 3 siblings for the last 50 years. reaching a deadly stalemate of constant conflict. Strongholds dot the landscape, some known to all some known to very few, Deep seated and embedded espionage networks have been at play for decades between the 3 fractured regions now sovereign nations attempting to conquer the other 2 Parties of individuals of note under the pay or fealty of one of the 3 nations harry and perform specialized missions in the name of these nations. These specialized units have become even more necessary in the recent years, As they seem to be less effected by the blight that has plagued the land over the last few decades. Magic has been slowly ebbing from the land and as it does so, users of the of magic, in particular the practitioners of the Arcane have been losing their ability to cast magic. Divine and the Natural magic seems to be less effected, but effected none the less. A great lethargy grows in the world. The physical abilities of those who rely on blade or fist seems to be unable to mustered the same ability as in ages passed. Players will be starting at 12th level, and session 0 will cover backstory and the reason the group is together, as well as which of the 3 nations the group belongs to. This game takes place with modified resting rules in place. A standard long rest 8 hours will be considered a short rest. 7 days of short rests in a row are considered a long rest. Alternatively 3 days of downtime would be considered a long rest.
