About the adventure
🦇Remastered/Homebrewed Lore 🦇 🎙️Fully Voiced & Interactive NPC's 🎙️ 🩸Lore fashioned from your Characters Backstory🩸 🎼Immersive Background Music and Ambience🎼 🫂Welcoming to players both New and Old🫂 INTRODUCTION: Overlooking the village of Barovia, a obscure figure stands at the edge of the battlements of Castle Ravenloft. Aside from the crackling of the nearby braziers and the faint whispering of the mists, there is an uneasy silence. The crickets no longer sing, the trees do not dance in the wind, and the creatures that stir within the Svalich Forests dare not make a sound. The perspective shifts and the view pans over to the figure. Even with the light of the moon and the nearby rows of braziers; the figure remains shrouded in darkness. The only thing visible being their intense red eyes and their loose strands of long raven hair that seemed to dance in response to the invitation of the evening breeze. In their hands are a stack of black envelopes. As the breeze begins to pick up and the mists begin to shift, the figure releases the letters. Instead of rapidly descending to the surface below, these letters are carried off by the mist, almost as if they were being hand delivered by the mist itself. For a moment, the figure remains on the battlements, watching their letters drift off before quickly vanishing into the shadows. Barovia prepares for new guests. ABOUT: Curse of Strahd is a Gothic Horror Adventure that I've been running for a couple of years now. In fact, it's one of the first adventure books that I started GMing with. Throughout the years and the various groups, Curse of Strahd has become by far one of my favorite adventures to run! Explore Barovia and discover its horrors! Like many of my runs with this adventure, this story is fashioned to your characters backstory and their experiences. This world is as alive (see what I did there) as your characters story is. This is intended to be a long campaign so commitment is required as I try to make sure that everyone's arcs are experienced. I look forward to having the opportunity to take you through this adventure!

About me
Hello Adventurers! My name is Jade (she/they). I'm a TTRPG writer, streamer, voice actor, and producer. I am also known as "The Innkeeper" of the fictional tavern known as the Rosewood Inn. I've been running DND Campaigns for over seven years now but I've been a player for in various campaigns for five. Like how I normally did things over at the Rosewood Inn, I tend to cater my sessions for newer players and those who are looking to get more into DND. I'm also available for running custom homebrew campaigns, however my rates will vary. But I always appreciate the challenge!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will be handled at session zero in a private discord server. All races, classes, and subclasses are permitted as long as they are published WOTC material. I am open to homebrew, as long as it makes sense mechanically/aesthetically to the setting. Characters will start at Level 3 and will start together as a party. Potential tie-ins will be discussed at session zero! WE might start in a tavern or we might just start into the thick of it. This varies depending on the chemistry of the table!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Webcams are optional, microphones are a must have. It's expected for players to have a basic knowledge of 5e rules and all character sheets will be handled via DNDBeyond but this will be covered in session zero.
What Jade brings to the table
I will be bringing custom maps, DNDBeyond assets, VTT resources, and immersive ambience.
Homebrew rules
1) Nat 20's during initiative grant you the ability to choose where you end up on initiative. 2) Drinking a potion is a bonus action. 3) Shove is a bonus action. 4) Characters can cast a non-cantrip spell as their action and then cast a cantrip or a spell 2nd level or lower as a bonus action. 5) If you run out of spell slots, you can cast a spell by incurring a level of exhaustion equivalent to the spell's level. 6) Death saves must be rolled in private and must be between the player and the DM.
