About the adventure

At first it was the Age of Creation. The Antiqua ruled over Irhafel, a people filled with power, mysteries and secrets, their history and knowledge lost to time. Then there was the Age of Power. Dragons from unknown lands conquered everything with terrible might, almost erasing everything of the Antiqua. And then...they left. The Age of Growth came to be after the dragons’ sudden departure. For millennia, humans, elves, dwarves and many other ancestries flourished on a land filled with life and bountiful resources. But ambition soon turned to greed, distrust to prejudice and hatred. Many conflicts broke out as kingdom fought with kingdom for land and riches. An all-out war seemed inevitable, but the mortals had no idea what was truly meant to happen. The Age of Loss. Fueled by dark desires, five different monarchs opened the way for demons and devils to come. A devastating war broke out and lasted for over a decade, corrupting the very land they were fighting for. The gods, crying over their lost creation, came to its aid, finally uniting the mortals and the fiends forever. That was over 200 years ago. We are now at the Age of Rebirth, an age of peace and union. Although we are still rebuilding after such dark times and some things were lost forever, the future is bright and hopeful. - The old woman grins as she throws more leaves into the fire, watching the black smoke as it rises. Studying the future had always been a talent of hers and something that brought her immense joy. But as the smoke took a new shape, something she had never seen before, her smile faded. There was no joy in that future. There was no hope or fear or anger. There was nothing. ---- This is a fully homebrew campaign I've designed and as such I'll be able to really include the PCs in the plot. Expect to see a lot of your backgrounds interwoven in the story, along with a rich story I'm working on. This is also going to be an exploration heavy game, as there will be many unique and new places for everyone to visit and explore, keeping players' agency in mind and allowing you to choose where the story will take you.

About me

Hey, everyone. After many years playing and GMing various types of games, I've decided to delve deeper into the hobby. I currently have my own website with RPG-related content, along with some board game goodness. I'm also working on a DnD book and some other stuff that I'm super excited to share with you all in the future. I have experience with many different systems. From the classic D&D to the edgy World of Darkness. From the futuristic Cypher to the gloriously queer Thirsty Sword Lesbians. I've really played it all (except for Gurps...that one gave me a headache). As a GM, I very much value roleplay and fun, with a good touch of chaos. Metagame is nearly useless in my games, as many monsters will have different abilities and other surprises I'll throw in. That medusa? She's a cursed human and kept her paladin levels. That hag is genuinely just a salesperson (just ignore some of the creepier products). Oh, and the dragon breathes hallucinogenic gas instead of fire. Good luck.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will discuss the basics for the characters before and during session zero, but the creation itself will hapen after our conversation in session zero. Players are free to create their own stories, from having their own secrets to including other PCs in it (with their consent, of course). I will be available to assist with any help needed.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All players need a Roll20 and a discord accounts for the game and, since we'll be playing online, a decent mic is essential. It's also important to read the basic rules of D&D 5e before the game so that things flow better, and beginner players can feel free to message me with any questions they may have.

What Felipe Lopez brings to the table

This is a fully homebrew game, from the plot to the very world it will be played in. Players will also have access to new ancestries, subclasses and even classes I'm designing. I'm also designing (and in some cases commissioning) maps and art for the game.

Homebrew rules

The homebrew rules are picked together during session zero.

Safety

How Felipe Lopez creates a safe table

I tried being broad with the content warnings, going for the more common tropes in medieval fantasy (especially with villains), but everything will be discussed during session zero and I enforce the lines/veils and x card rule during sessions. I have also worked on ways the tools can be used discreetly, so that everyone can be comfortable using them when needed. Session zero will also be used to discuss lore and the characters the players will make, along with any expectations for the game.
