About the adventure

The Underdark is a subterranean wonderland, a vast and twisted labyrinth where fear reigns. It is the home of horrific monsters that never seen the light of day. It is here that the dark elf Gromph Baenre, Archmage of Menzoberranzan, casts a foul spell meant to ignite a magical energy that suffuses the Underdark, and he tears open portals to the demonic Abyss in the process. What steps through surprises even him, and from that moment on, the insanity that pervades the Underdark escalates and threatens to shake the Forgotten Realms to its foundations. Dive into the madness head on as the entirety of the Underdark is threatened from the inside out. Take on legendary Demon Lords such as Baphomet, Demogorgon, Fraz-Urb'luu, Graz'zt, Juiblex, Orcus, Yeenoghu and Zuggtmoy in a level 1-15+ campaign of chaos, evil and insanity.

About me

Hey what up guys, I'm Chris, or chrizak. I've been here on StartPlaying since August 2022. Love the community, I feel very blessed to be here. I'm passionate about story weaving and I pride myself in creating a memorable experience, but I'm nothing without the creative and passionate players at my table. I bring with me a wealth of knowledge on 5e D&D and Roll20, where I've clocked more than 5000 hours. I'm constantly pushing my limits to immerse players into the world of fantasy and imagination!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place in a free session 0. We will go over the various options in discord to determine what difficulty the group wants and then create characters in Roll20. We will start at level 1. It is encouraged that you do not disclose your character details to the group until introduced in session 1, to enhance the atmosphere of this campaigns origins.

The current party

Due to time constraints, we've reduced the session times to roughly 2 hours. This campaign has been ongoing since 2022, yet we're just crossing the halfway mark. Party is level 9, and the make-up is as follows: Duergar Cleric Tiefling Rogue Reborn Sorcerer Goliath Paladin I will work with you to find a unique and fitting place to implement your character. The party will fill you in on the details of the campaign through interactive role play (I will also give you some footnotes). Come join the family!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a free account on Roll20 and a free account on Discord. Links to both will be provided. A quality mic is required but video is completely optional. Die must be rolled via Roll20 interface.

What DM Chrizak brings to the table

I will bring everything else necessary to enjoy the game. This includes compendiums, maps, sounds, scripts to streamline combat, visual effects, dynamic lighting and auto math. As a DM, I am not against you, but rather, on your team. My goal is for everyone to have a great time, and I will dedicate myself to working outside of sessions to make this a reality.

Safety

How DM Chrizak creates a safe table

I want everyone at the table to feel safe, respected, and excited to show up. We use X, N, and O cards—either digital or verbal—as a simple way to speak up during play if something doesn’t feel right. If anything ever feels off, you're always welcome to message me—no judgment, no drama.
