About the adventure
The Protomolecule has changed everything. Ever since Eros, the Sol System has been in ever present danger, between the system wide cold war and the new threats of a mysterious bioweapon on thr loose, there's a lot to be afraid of. In the midst of all of this, a ragtag group of would-be heroes have stumbled upon an adventure, and the opportunity to take on the most powerful man in the Sol System, Sebastian Pope.

At Puzzlebox Events, we specialize in high-quality, interactive game experiences designed to bring small groups together in a truly unique and entertaining fashion. I'm Josh, co-founder and Creative Director of Puzzlebox Events. I am also a librarian, poet, and writer. Drawing from my eclectic background, I craft unforgettable gaming experiences that cater to both experienced and newcomers alike. My approach to game mastering is deeply player-focused, welcoming to newcomers, and infused with rich narratives. With a background in libraries, I've honed my skills in facilitating games for diverse audiences, from adults to grade schoolers and teens, with a particular knack for adventures tailored to kids and novices to the hobby. In addition to my endeavors at Puzzlebox Events, I moderate the vibrant Discord community Doors and Corners, dedicated to The Expanse RPG. Here, I orchestrate thrilling one-shots and Ship Combat simulators, adding layers of excitement to the gaming experience. Creating your character
Characters will all be Level 1, and we will walk through character creation before the start of the game, during a short Mini-Session 0. If you have The Expanse RPG book, feel free to make a character in advance, but it won't be necessary, as I will walk us through that process.
Hundreds of years into the future, We have colonized Mars, and the Asteroid Belt. Mars has won its independence from Earth by innovating system-wide space travel. Now there are 3 factions making big moves in Sol System: The Eathers, who come from an overpopulated planet and are seen as takers and privileged by other groups; Martians, whose military-industrial complex is the backbone of their economy and have generations dedicated to terraforming Mars; and Belters, the exploited class that both the "inners" take for granted. Knowledge of the Expanse setting and lore is preferred but not required. Familiarity with the system is unnecessary, as I will teach as I go. This is an Ongoing Campaign Bi-Weekly, currently running Sundays at 7:30 We are at 11th level.

You should have the following: - A Discord account. - A Webcam - Access to a Google Drive (so that you can access the Player Tool document). - A browser, should we use Owlbear Rodeo.

During a Mini-Session 0, we will discuss Lines and Veils as well as character creation. The content of this one shot can get intense, but that can exist on a dial. Should players not be comfortable with certain elements of the story, I can and will dial that aspect back.
