About the adventure
Acria is a nation that has recently been unified under one king, for the past 300 years there has been a plague of Demons and Devils roaming the lands, causing each city and it's populace to become more and more isolated from other cultures. People built walls around their cities, defending them against onslaughts of fiendish entities and their cult fanatics, but in turn, travel became much more difficult and dangerous, with caravans between nations being few and far between. However under the human's King Tychus, the nations came together and fought back the fiends, closing their portal and opening up a whole new world to settle and explore.

Meet the Game Master
3 years on StartPlaying
About me
Hey, I'm Peter (He, They) and I've been DM'ing for about 10 years now starting in high school. I run very open world player driven games and work best with a lot of input from players to craft a narrative that fits everyone in the group. My biggest focuses in running D&D is always to have a safe and fun space for all of my players. D&D helped me figure out myself and provide some escapism, and I hope it can be a place of comfort and solace for my players as well. I'm most experienced with 5e, Pathfinder, and Spheres. I excel at improv, voice acting, and character backstories. I'm looking forward to finding more people to play with as being a Dungeon Master is my favorite thing to do.

Creating your character
I plan for character creation to happen in cooperation with all players together along with the DM. There will be a free session zero for character creation and to set expectations for the campaign. The characters will be made on Foundry VTT. Characters start at level one with custom magic items created by the DM and one additional starting feat for flavor. I encourage this feat to be one picked to enhance your character's flavor and theming rather than just be used for some extra skills, stat points, or efficiency. Power gaming your character build is very much unnecessary for my games and I want characters to feel more like people, and less like a "build." One of my fundamental aspects of character creation is the 3x3 that we start building together session zero, and sometimes players finish on their own time. This consists of 3 allies for your character (3 people who would go out of their way to help your character), 3 contacts (people who will help your character for some personal gain of their own), and 3 enemies (people who will go out of their way to hinder or harm your character.) These people could be individuals, families, or even organizations. This gives your character an established presence in the world and with the Dungeon Master's help allows you to easily interweave your character into established factions, environments, and situations.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
As the Dungeon Master I like to have my webcam on to use during sessions, but I understand that many people are unable to switch back and forth between FoundryVTT and discord to see facecams. If anyone wants to have their webcam on as well, that'd be great, but it is in no way necessary. Microphones however, are necessary for players to have to communicate. People should have some basic character concepts before session zero and should read up on the lore and rules of the world and game that will be posted on the campaign discord. This will be extremely important for session zero and can make or break character creation, the better your character fits into the world, the more I'll be able to work backstory elements and other such things into the plot and campaign.
What Peter Da'Fox brings to the table
Nobody needs to bring dice as we will be using virtual tabletop software. I will supply maps for everyone on the campaign's discord.

Safety
How Peter Da'Fox creates a safe table
To start off simply I will never push something someone in my group is uncomfortable with, anything can be cut out of the game if it is desired. No matter what that may be, my players safety and comfort will always be my number one priority. I will be sending every player a document of lines and veils that they can send back to me to figure out what should and shouldn't be in our campaign and if this is a right campaign for everyone. There will be a zero cost session zero where people can go over what they are comfortable with and some game expectations. If at any point some sends me an X in PM's we'll stop, take a quick break, and I'll meet with that person real quick to find out what line was crossed. I'm not gonna push, but I want to make sure it doesn't happen again.
