About the adventure
Have you played through nearly every official module? Does the predictable conclusion of a story drain the thrill for you? Is a linear narrative wearing you down? Do you yearn to explore unknown realms? If you nodded yes to at least two of these questions, this campaign is your perfect match! In the Lands of Arda, during the 4th era, destiny weaves together a group of individuals in the secluded village of Owlreach. One fateful night at the circus, amidst the flickering torches and vibrant banners, your life takes an unexpected turn. A disheveled magician steps onto the stage, promising a simple trick—transforming a few volunteers temporarily into frogs. To your astonishment, you are chosen alongside others from the audience. The applause and cheers of the crowd, oblivious to the impending change, leave you no choice but to accept the invitation. As you stand on stage, the magician's flourish and grandiose words attempt to captivate the audience. One by one, your fellow volunteers are transformed into frogs, and then it’s your turn. A cloud of smoke engulfs you. Darkness envelops your vision... and your life will never be the same. This campaign unfolds in a fully homebrewed world known as the Lands of Arda, bearing only the most basic resemblance to the Forgotten Realms. It is a high fantasy realm, grounded yet boundless, with vast landscapes waiting to be explored. ✅ Curious players eager to uncover mysteries ✅ Players who relish challenging combats ✅ Players who understand that death makes survival thrilling ✅ Role-players ✅ Those who can be serious when the situation demands it ✅ Players desiring an immersive, logical world ✅ Team players ✅ Individuals who enjoy a long-term campaign, forging unforgettable stories Players that would not fit in this campaign: ❌ Lone Wolf gamers ❌ Players relying on metagaming to advance ❌ Rules lawyers ❌ Players fixated on Forgotten Realms lore ❌ Players insistent on stereotypical characters regardless of the setting ❌ Players constantly seeking absurd alterations to their characters ❌ Players who fail to realize that it's a game meant for everyone’s enjoyment This epic campaign will guide you from level 1 to level 20 and spans over a year, promising an unforgettable journey.
Meet the Game Master
About me
Website: https://fantasylair.net ⚔️ Premium fantasy campaigns with weight, consequence, and depth I run long-form homebrew fantasy campaigns for players who want more than a casual weekly game. My tables are built for those who value immersion, consistency, serious worldbuilding, and the feeling that their choices genuinely matter. This is not fantasy as decoration. It is a world with structure, memory, consequence, and weight. My style centers on regional-sandbox play, meaningful dilemmas, fair rulings, tactical pressure, and earned victories. I want players to feel like inhabitants of a living world, not tourists passing through a setting. The goal is to create a campaign where decisions leave marks, danger feels real, and triumph carries meaning because it was not cheaply given. I specialize in homebrew settings and what I would call fantasy realism: worlds that feel coherent, believable, and rewarding to explore. I aim for a grounded tone with serious stakes, room for character-driven humor, and a setting that remains immersive rather than random, chaotic, or overly gamey. Rule of Cool exists at my table, but I use it with restraint so that dramatic moments retain their power. 🖥️ Professional online play I run through Foundry VTT and Discord, supported by maps, visual aids, audio, automation, and organized materials. My aim is not simply to host a session, but to provide a polished campaign experience that feels stable, carefully prepared, and worth returning to each week. I also make rulings and expectations clear early, so players spend less time guessing and more time playing. On SPG alone, I have hosted 1,400 games over 5 years, with a 5.0 rating across 100+ reviews. Those numbers matter because they reflect the same standard I try to bring into every campaign: reliability, commitment, and a table players can truly invest in. If you are looking for a serious fantasy campaign with depth, challenge, and a world that remembers what you do, this is the kind of table I run.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen in session 0, where we will discuss also general themes of the campaign, player preferences and any other issue that has to be discussed.
The game will run weekly, on Wednesdays. We'll start once we have 5 players, but the game can continue with 4 players. Maximum player number is 6. That reason for starting once we have 5, is to avoid having to postpone and cancel in case one do not seem to fit with the group. Long term campaign, levels 1-20. Current level: FILL ME FIRST: https://forms.gle/8gnCVVgKaShH5zpU9 The above form is a compilation of questions I would ask a joining player to determine their preferences, gamestyle etc. Please have it filled as you apply. UPDATE: For individuals joining the campaign during its progression, the process of character creation is scheduled for Mondays or at a mutually convenient time. This step is undertaken to ensure your seamless integration into the ongoing narrative. We kindly request that you partake in a session as an observer (complimentary of charge) prior to your enrollment. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

How Ned creates a safe table
We'll be using extensively a VTT for this campaign. Tactical battle maps for combat encounters, visual aids for non-combat scenes, region map for travelling and audio ambience for all the previous. If you are sensitive to any content, please tell me about it beforehand to avoid any potential problems. During Session 0 is the best time to do that.
