About the adventure

There's an old abandoned poor farm on the edge of town. Rumor has it the place is haunted by the people who died there in poverty during The Great Depression. Maybe you and your friends are professional ghost hunters. Maybe you're drunk college students. Whatever the case, you're going to break into that poor farm after dark and go exploring.

About me

I write 5e D&D adventures, and I like to run D&D, homebrew games, and indie games. I'm interested in creating an evocative narrative for my players where what their characters do matters.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will pick two things their characters are good at, one thing they're not good at, and a quirk that can (but doesn't have to be) supernatural. We'll create the characters during Session 0 and put them on Google Sheets.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a Discord account. We can game over voice or voice and video, depending on what people want to do. Think about what kind of story arc you'd like for your character. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or need help figuring out the role you're looking for. You won't need a character sheet, and you won't need dice.

What Karrin Jackson brings to the table

I will open a Discord channel for our game and acquire a dice roller. I'll also make a Google sheet to keep track of characters' stats.

How Karrin Jackson creates a safe table

We will be telling a tragic story about people whose lives were fairly miserable, and we'll be exploring some dark topics, but we're going to support each other through it, so don't look for any PVP here. My X, N, and O cards are digital, and you can PM them to me if you feel more comfortable doing that. I'd like to spend half an hour at the end of each session talking about it and making sure everyone is okay. Extra content warnings may apply if the players bring them to the table, but these will be discussed at Session 0.
