About the adventure
The region of Phandalin is no stranger to bandits and dangers. As such you've been offered a job by a dwarven miner, Gundren Rockseeker, to transport a wagonload of goods and equipment from the city of Neverwinter to the frontier village of Phandalin. Prove yourself capable and not only can you expect payment but a promise to get in on a piece of "something big" he and his brothers have found somewhere in the nearby mountains. This job is your first step in an adventure that will have your character grow from a capable warrior to a hero of the land as you uncover and fight against dark forces that threaten the region and the lives of countless individuals. This beginner friendly game will have your characters starting off at level 1 as you go through the hit adventure "Lost Mine of Phandelver". By the end of which you will be level 5 and have the option to continue the campaign to even higher levels where you will go up against the biggest threat the Sword Coast has ever encountered in The Red Hand of Doom!

Meet the Game Master
About me
I’m that guy who really wanted to play D&D with his friends and the only way to do that was to take on the role of Dungeon Master, bribe everyone over with pizza and force them to sit down and roll characters. That first game was riddled with problems ranging from glaring plot holes and large misunderstandings of the rules and mechanics. I look back at my first game with fondness because although I may not have understood the rules it led to many fun memories with friends. That first game instilled in me a love of D&D that continues to this day. I’ve come a long way since then, running many campaigns and adventures, even offering to run paid games in the middle of 2020. To be honest, I’ve had the best game experiences since then, and I’ve met the best players in that time, and I’m now looking to expand my table and run even more games! As far as my “style” goes I would categorize myself as a “by the book” DM. I run my games RAW (rules as written) but I do love those cool epic moments that comes along with the game and I try to make each session as episodic and fun filled as possible. I offer all first time players in my tables their first session for free. I believe the best way to see if I’m the right DM for you is if you experience a session yourself. I’m also very transparent and open on how I like my players to behave. The biggest rule in all my tables is respecting your fellow players. No hate speech, antagonistic behavior, abusive language, or bullies are allowed to participate in my games.

Character creation will be handled through Roll20's Charactermancer. The rules for character creation are simple but any all questions are encouraged in and out of game: You will create a 1st level character - Character races are restricted to Mordenkainen’s Multiverse of Monsters. - Use standard array for ability score. - Your normal class starting equipment. - 40 pieces of ammunition for ranged weapons.
Your very first session is free. If you join with early bird pricing you will be charged half price for your second game.

How Eric D creates a safe table
Links to the Discord and Roll20 will be found in the player prep section once a seat is reserved. I will be open to communicate to go over character ideas and creation. Additional help and aid will be provided before and during Session 0. Players can expect a mix of combat, roleplay, and exploration. There is a large amount of combat encounters including sections with mass combat where rules will be implemented to not bog down combat. Players are expected to be warriors of good and fighting to protect the realm from the evils of the land, therefore no evil characters will be allowed. Because of the nature of the adventure expect themes of violence and warfare akin to a PG-13 movie. In this adventure the main enemy of the goblin horde's primary goal is to take over and subjugate the people of the land for their own evil purposes. A small 5-10 minute break will be taken when appropriate. There is a zero tolerance policy on bullying, sexual harassment, racism, hate speech and prejudice. Players who act in such ways will be kicked with no chance for a refund given.
