About the adventure

We will quickly make characters and delve into the Underground, looking for treasure and fortune or out into the Deep Country, hunting monsters that prey on the rural folk. Into the Odd is described as rules light, flavor heavy game. No experience is necessary. First player to sign up can pick the adventure (from a possible 3).

About me

I'm a librarian and Ennie-nominated writer and podcaster who has contributed to Sons of Kryos, The Sixth Ring - a Trophy Podcast and Daydreaming about Dragons. I GM and play regularly on the Actual Play twitch-stream if you'd like to see my play-style first-hand. I regularly write about gaming on my blog, Githyanki Diaspora. Ask me about my GM+2 games, a perfect gift for the gaming buddy you haven't rolled dice with in years, taking inspiration from Elric and Moonglum as well as Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser or even True Detective. Please contact me and let's book a game.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be rolled up quickly as the game begins. Players will be given access to enough material to roll them up before the game starts if they'd like to.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Webcam and mic will be necessary. Creating characters beforehand is great but not necessary. We will use your own dice at the table and you will have access to your character via a character keeper on Google Sheets, though players are welcome to print out characters if they prefer.

What Judd brings to the table

I will bring an adventure (chosen by the first player to sign up) and an eagerness to see where we'll end up when your imaginations collide with the otherworldly shenanigans at hand. I do not have a pat ending in mind and I am not steering you towards some inevitable drama that I've invented. I am putting problems in front of your characters and taking glee in how your imaginations deal with them.

Safety

How Judd creates a safe table

Players can expect to get playing quickly in a fast paced game where playing to find out, outside the box thinking and creative problem solving rule the day.
