Long Forgotten Tale

Long Forgotten Tale

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

This is a player-centered sandbox game experience. I have created a continent with everything that I have played and other players have played for 10 years. All the cities, NPCs, countries, and maps have been prepared by me. Considering this, players can go anywhere and talk to everybody as they please. This realm lives on its own and things keep happening anywhere you can imagine, as you play the game. Since Forgotten Realms is my favorite setting, I took a lot of stuff from there but the world is fundamentally different. And the campaign will start at Level 1 and will end at Level 20 as long as the players are active and interested in the game. There are lots of side quests and a couple of main quests going on in the campaign. Since it is a sandbox game, you can create your own quests and strive to complete those quests in addition to world-influencing events happening around the realm. I have planned four acts for every 5 levels. Each and every act is a campaign on its own. I mostly prepare balanced sessions with combat and role-playing, but you can always change that with your actions. For example, if you're not interested in fighting, there is also a path that you can take by uttering a few words. I use some homebrew rules that make game more fun and more logical. For example, if you get slashed four or five times you start taking bleeding damage. It seems just to me, and don't worry enemies will bleed too. Most of the items I have created are homebrew too, especially loots, but the items in the books are also in the game, so you can go to a shop and ask for those items. All the wonders that roll20 can offer are applied too.

Game style

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Additional details

How to prepare

I use voice chat through discord. Other than that players should think what kind of character they wanna play (with class and personality) and decide on something. The rest is no problem.

What I provide

I will bring lots of maps for dungeons, cities and random encounters as well as a big map for the whole land.

Gameplay details

I prefer realistic combat descriptions. And also there are many evil beings so some real bad things can happen to the party or a player. But we can discuss and tone it down if players prefer.
