About the adventure
A group of weary travellers on a forest road. A stormy night, pouring rain and howling in the dark. And a glimmer of hope, as you notice a string of smoke above the trees. Will you find respite and shelter? What is hunting you under the light of the Bad Moon? Can you survive the night of blood? A roleplay-heavy one-shot of mystery and horror, prefect as an introduction to the grim and perilous world of Warhammer as well as to the WFRP 4e system and TTRPGs in general.

Meet the Game Master
3 years on StartPlaying
About me
I am a long-time Game Master for D&D and many other tabletop role playing games, as well as a professional Art Director and Game Designer working in the field of art games. I have been running and designing role playing games for about 8 years now. I played with tons of people and made some of my best friends playing RPGs. Recently I have been game mastering for many new groups, introducing people to the world of play-pretend and collaborative storytelling, and this has been one of the most rewarding experiences I ever had. These days I am working on my Master's degree in Experimental Game Cultures at the University for Applied Arts Vienna, so games are more than just entertainment to me – I believe they can be a uniquely fulfilling experience. I bring a bit of academic expertise, some artistic approach, and a lot of love to my gaming table, and I hope you will join me for an exciting adventure!

Creating your character
We will create characters together in the beginning of the session. Characters will be low-level commoners, mostly randomised (as WFRP suggests), but open for player customisation.
Players of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Time and potentially date can be negotiated and adjusted.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a webcam and a mic, as well as access to Roll20. The GM plays with the mic and camera on as well. You do not need to create characters or read the rules beforehand.
What Maxim The Wizard brings to the table
The Game Master will facilitate the game through Roll20 (character sheets, maps) and (optionally) Discord, as well as stream background music and provide visual aides and handouts.

How Maxim The Wizard creates a safe table
This game mostly focuses on mystery, roleplaying, and survival. Some fast and deadly combat is very likely as well. We will be playing a stripped down, lighter version of WFRP, with only essential mechanics to make the story work in a short period of time. Limited selection of Careers and Races.
