About the adventure
Welcome to Arcanapolis, a planet wide city (and we use the term city loosely) run by a group of Mages called the Magistocracy. Aforementioned government formed roughly 300 years ago in an attempt to slowly, but surely, make certain regions of the world safe for living and development. As time has passed, the arcane-run government slowed its development in order to allow Free society to keep up. Today, you live in one of the hundred some sectors that divide the planet. Known for production of Diamonds, general agriculture, and for being the home of the prestigious university that taught the founders of the Magistocracy, Sector 37 is one of the most well organized, developed, and peaceful of the sectors, whilst other Sectors boast magical item production, or the creation of more mundane arms and armor, as with Sectors 1 and 88, respectively. ======================== GAME INFORMATION================ Please post a brief description of your character, including a character name, [multi-]class (you will be starting at level 11), and your background. If you are new to the game, feel free to state that instead, and I will work with you to develop a character you find interesting! We roll stats, and you will do that when you join, though you are welcome to point buy. Anything officially printed, as well as Matt Mercer's Blood Hunter and Gunslinger, and the Tortle, are permitted. Sorcerers are permitted to use the Spell Point variant from the Dungeon Masters Guide, and I will provide that information if need be. Homebrew may be permitted on a case by case basis, but nothing from dndwiki. You may choose to create a character who is a part of an existing organization (listed below), or you may develop an entirely new organization (or be so far unaffiliated). Arcanapolis is OUR world, not mine. Feel free to develop anything you choose.

About me
I've been running games of 5th Edition D&D for over seven years, and I've been collecting payments as a professional Game Master for five of those years. When you play with me, you will be joining a cultivated play environment of strangers turned friends. As much as I am a Game Master, I am a coordinator of schedules and facilitator of new connections. Join my games, and we can make stories and friends, together!

Creating your character
Character creation is done on D&DBeyond. Our game is at 13th level. I expect you to create your character yourself, with some assistance from me in session 0.
Session 0 is held individually before you can join our adventure. Last minute requests to join will see you in our game next week. We play every Tuesday night
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Ensure that you are familiar with your character sheet, and make sure your microphone is properly set up with Discord. Besides that, you need only bring yourself and a willingness to play D&D!

How Jack Marder creates a safe table
This is a game with Grit - people are often selfish and self-centered, malice levels depending. If you expect that there is a line I won't cross because it seems mean, you might want to realign your expectations. However, there are Lines will be clearly set during Session 0. I don't take any joy from causing pain or grief in-character. I find joy in working with my players to tell a compelling story with stakes.
