Friday Morning, The Whispers Within - LGBQT+ Friendly
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
This is a homebrew, long term campaign set in the Forgotten Realms, although not all lore is canon. Many parties have been through this world before, and their actions changed it, just as yours will. The game is styled off a classic fantasy setting adventure like LoTR, though it will go through many themes being a long term game. This game is beginner friendly, and great for anyone with a set schedule that wants to really get into a story and have deep character bonds and development. 100 years ago, the demon lord Alzrius was summoned forth into the Shining Lands from the Abyss, along with his demonic armies. Not long after, the once idyllic landscape was enveloped in flames. Crops and grass blackened, their taste causing tenday cough. Waters dried out from the perpetual ashes of the land. What little was left was better left undrunk. Those that survived the initial onslaught lived on as slaves or ingredients. The people banded together with the beast of Veldorn, and they made their last Stronghold among the beaches of Var. During the death throes of man and beast, help finally arrived. A large ship from Halruaa. However, many of its passengers perished on the journey, leaving only small group of adventurers. They came stalling the demons and training what was left of able fighters before heading out to find a more permanent solution. With their aid, man and beast of the Shining Lands managed to keep the demonic forces at bay, for the time being, but more always came. After the month, the demon forces started to dwindle away, and when man and beast managed to push out, they saw the heroes had slayed Alzrius, sending him back to the Abyss. Among the heroes were four angels, who gifted a piece of themselves each to each nation in the Shining Lands. These stones served as a ward to prevent anyone from summoning another Demon Lord into the lands again.

How to prepare
Players must have discord, a mic that is good enough for others to understand them, and a roll20 account (its free). Although you do not need to know the rules, you do need to have a basic understanding of dungeons and dragons before the game (like you know this is a game where you roll dice and pretend to be an adventurer). I can help explain the basics before session 1. This is to ensure the game still goes by at a normal pace.
What I provide
All the books on roll20, and expertise in using it. I will modify all your sheets to streamline all the rolling, and each session is prepped for ahead of time ensuring there is no wait time for combat to start, maps to upload, boards to be set and most importantly so each session will flow by nicely. You will also get custom token border art after memorable occasions, along with group character art during and post game.
Gameplay details
We will go over any boundaries in session 0. Of course not everything might have been thought up on the spot, so during games, if anything comes up, the open door is always available.

How will character creation work
Characters will be level 1-3. Players can decide during session 0. Characters must be created on Roll20. We can all make characters in session 0 if you are unsure of how to use it, though it is very easy. Stats will be rolled for in session 0 on roll20.
