About the adventure

It was a night at the circus, one that many others found as normal, but for you it was something that changed your life. A shabby magician went up the stage, declaring to perform a boring trick, to turn some people to frogs and turn them back again. "Skilled wizards can already do that" you thought to yourself. To your surprise he picks you among some other people from the audience. People clapping and cheering for you, making you unable to refuse his invitation. Up the stage you were, in line with some others. He started doing show-off moves and tried to impress the audience with fancy words. You saw the others getting transformed to frogs and your turn came. You felt your body vibrating and phasing out of existence for a moment. Flashing images passed in front of you eyes, too fast to notice details but slow enough to make you feel uncomfortable. You saw places you knew, in a ravaged state, people you knew dead and towns you knew destroyed. You realized that he was not doing a transformation spell, but he swapped you with a frog instead. Few seconds passed and you returned back, the frog vanished. Your body was in shock and your voice barely coming out. Everyone was clapping as the performer left the stage before you could do anything. After the shock has passed, you learnt that the others experienced the same. You banded together and started looking for the performer, to find out what happened to you, what was the images you saw. Nightmares often plagues your sleep since that circus night. Until the day where the age of darkness came, but you already felt it familiar, you saw it in the images...Your story began, as the story of civilization is about to be rewritten.

About me

Website: https://fantasylair.net ⚔️ Premium fantasy campaigns with weight, consequence, and depth I run long-form homebrew fantasy campaigns for players who want more than a casual weekly game. My tables are built for those who value immersion, consistency, serious worldbuilding, and the feeling that their choices genuinely matter. This is not fantasy as decoration. It is a world with structure, memory, consequence, and weight. My style centers on regional-sandbox play, meaningful dilemmas, fair rulings, tactical pressure, and earned victories. I want players to feel like inhabitants of a living world, not tourists passing through a setting. The goal is to create a campaign where decisions leave marks, danger feels real, and triumph carries meaning because it was not cheaply given. I specialize in homebrew settings and what I would call fantasy realism: worlds that feel coherent, believable, and rewarding to explore. I aim for a grounded tone with serious stakes, room for character-driven humor, and a setting that remains immersive rather than random, chaotic, or overly gamey. Rule of Cool exists at my table, but I use it with restraint so that dramatic moments retain their power. 🖥️ Professional online play I run through Foundry VTT and Discord, supported by maps, visual aids, audio, automation, and organized materials. My aim is not simply to host a session, but to provide a polished campaign experience that feels stable, carefully prepared, and worth returning to each week. I also make rulings and expectations clear early, so players spend less time guessing and more time playing. On SPG alone, I have hosted 1,400 games over 5 years, with a 5.0 rating across 100+ reviews. Those numbers matter because they reflect the same standard I try to bring into every campaign: reliability, commitment, and a table players can truly invest in. If you are looking for a serious fantasy campaign with depth, challenge, and a world that remembers what you do, this is the kind of table I run.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen pre-campaign. Once you have joined the game you will be given access to the group's game server (discord) and character creation guidelines/restrictions/lore will be available there.

The current party

The game runs weekly, on Fridays. There are 5 players in currently, can have one more. The group is pretty chill, has interesting and funny interparty roleplay and a balanced composition. It's has passed the 1 year mark and there's plenty more content. There's a good amount of information you'd be asked to go through if you're planning to join, but everything is neatly organized. That includes the story so far, what has happened and our homebrew setting/mechanics. If you register within 24h of a session's start, you must spectate the first session (no charge for that), to get familiar with the world/group/setting/situation, and you can start preparing your character for the next session. This group has been playing for over a year, so we'll have to help you catch up. We emphasize on immersive characters, so we'd like to avoid dropping hastily characters that might not fit.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Microphone and relatively quite surroundings are required. Webcam is optional if the whole group wants it (for more social engagement). Please also contact me in discord before the session to invite you to the game server and prepare material for your character creation.
