About the adventure
You and your companions have received a letter from the foreign city of Formiris, apparently signed by its lord. The Lord of Formiris appears to be seeking bards from all over the world to come and serve him in his court. The message is worded strangely, but it comes with enough money for passage across the Brackish Sea to Formiris and then some. It is clear that this noble, eccentric though they may be, is also quite rich, and quite willing to spend money on quality music. Recognizing that your future in your home continent of Alos isn't as bright, you decide to take the plunge and see if this deal is as sweet as it seems. But what you find in Formiris is far, far stranger than you could have ever expected, and your new job is a little more demanding than you thought. Regardless, professional musicians just have to make certain compromises to get by... don’t they? Song of the Skexx is an adventure set in my homebrewed world of Graeysyre. I've done my best to put creativity and effort into setting the scene, original characters, and plot, and I hope players will enjoy it.

About me
I’m a newer DM, but I’ve learned that I enjoy it so much because I respect stories. I believe that stories are both intimate and innate elements of the human experience, and I greatly enjoy interacting with a game that feels like a living story. I do my best to replicate that feeling.

Creating your character
Players should provide character sheets for the level three characters they'd like to use for this adventure. I don't mind how you make your character sheets, but I recommend DNDBeyond.com as the easiest and fastest method. * This game will require at least one player in the group to be a bard. If you choose another class, that's okay, but you will need to think of a reason why you'd be accompanying a bard on a journey.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a working microphone. If they like, they are welcome to use camera as well, but that will be optional. Virtual dice rolls will be done on the DM's part, and players are free to either use physical dice or their preferred means of virtual dice (including DNDBeyond).
What David F. brings to the table
I will be providing illustrations through Zoom. I have the means to virtually roll dice as we play and will be keeping track of player positions.
