About the adventure
You stand before the Sha’sal Khou elders as the most diverse gith hunting party ever assembled. Are you powerful enough to keep the mind flayers from enslaving your people once again? You’ll have to race across the planes to find out. This game uses 6 pre-generated characters of 9th level. First come, first serve in terms of character selection. This is a completely virtual game using Roll 20 with the VTTES add-on. You must have the VTTES add-on installed or you will not be able to see the animated maps on Roll 20. (We will use Discord for voice if necessary (Roll 20 audio is temperamental sometimes.

About me
Hello, my name is John. I have been playing D&D for many years going all the way back to the 80's. I started playing a lot more about 4 years ago and have been migrating over to being an exclusive DM. I am currently running 2 long term campaigns with 7 players each that have been meeting consistently every week (twice a week for the longer campaign) for 8 months and 3 months respectively. Both are set in the Wildemount environment from Critical Role. Both are for fun but I am getting paid for one of them and those players hail from all over, including New York, Ontario, Florida, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Texas. I also run a campaign for inner city teens at the local Boys & Girls Club as a volunteer. I am on Discord as @Jlmoyni so can be reached there. My pronouns are He/Him. Since March I have been playing exclusively remote using Roll20 with VTTES for virtual tabletop, D&D Beyond for campaign and character management, Beyond20 for integration with Roll20, and Discord for voice. Recently I have been getting in to using animated maps for my games with great response from my players.

It was a hard but oh so rewarding dungeons crawl where I had to fight tooth and nail for every victory, which made it all the sweeter when I got it. Lv 9 is the perfect level for this kind of one-shot, where you're vulnerable enough that you're still at risk, but you're still powerful enough that you have enough tricks to be able to counter the horrors that are thrown at you. I would write more on how wonderful it was if I had the words. Highly recommend for those who want a tough crawl

John is awesome! His sense of what makes a good story, theatricality, and use of Roll20 ‘extras’ really make the game come to life. Highly recommend!!

The characters are pre-generated and will be selected on a first come, first serve basis. They are all level 9 characters of either the githyanki or githzerai race. There is a wizard, cleric, fighter, cleric, monk, and rogue.

Preparing for the session
This game will run in Roll20 so they must have a roll20 account (free). They also must have installed the free VTTES add-on for chrome (preferred browser to run Roll20 in). This is a clock-is-ticking, race to the end, combat-heavy adventure using 6 pre-generated gith characters of 9th level based on the Rrakkma adventure which highlights Mordenkainen's tome of Foes. I have modified it somewhat and am always open to role-playing but the idea is to get through quickly in order to save the entire gith people from being re-enslaved by mind flayers.
