About me
I’m what some call a grognard. It’s an old term for an old soldier, although in gaming terms, generally means an old fart. I started roleplaying games in 1974, but not with D&D - it was with an old Avalon Hill game called Richthofen’s War. I got into D&D shortly after, then Chivalry & Sorcery, RuneQuest, and any others since. I’ve mostly been a GM, but enjoy being a player, too. I look at game systems not as recipes, but more like ingredients to the games we want to play. Do you prefer gritty, realistic simulations? Something character-driven, like a sandbox game? Or maybe something style-agnostic, for inventing the world on the fly? The answers to these questions require different ingredients to bring out the desired flavors. I have a lot of experience with a lot of systems, so I try to pitch the system that seems the best fit for the game we have in mind.

I have played and run Pendragon on and off since its first edition, and I can honestly say that between bringing the characters to life, setting the scene, running the adventure and introducing new players to the rules, Loki is far and away the best GM I have had the pleasure of playing with. His command of the rules made play smooth and quick, his scenarios were well-prepared and engaging, and the experience was really fun. I would be remiss in not mentioning the other players, of course, but this is what you'll want to know about what to expect in Loki's game. Respect to my companions!
