I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons for 15 years using a mix of homebrew stories and official modules. Across two 1-20 campaigns, I've found I have the best time when the players have the agency to impact the world and make changes that feel important. As the players grow, the world should grow in response. Rules as Written as default, but if there's nothing specific Rule of Cool applies.
