Overlord Jim went out of his way to help me learn the core rules of the system and to develop a character that was engaging and approachable. I was able to hop right into the action/storytelling with the group and felt that I was a valuable part of the group In Character and Out. He does a great job of explaining the rules and making a rather complex system very approachable. Every roll/interaction is given with clear instructions and he welcomes RP/scenery chewing/finding a point in the story that really appeals to the player. This was my first ever pay-to-play experience and, if all GMs are anywhere near as great as Jim, then this is an amazing system. Overall, I cannot recommend Jim enough and I hope other players get the chance to take a seat on his table.
