About me

I'm still getting used to being open about my nerdy interests. Having a 10-year-old son has given me the freedom to explore games and comics that I didn't have time for before, or thought I was too cool for. My love for fantasy started with Lord of the Rings, and I've always been drawn to the supernatural and magic. According to my StoryGraph statistics, I like adventurous and dark books, with fantasy, horror, and history as my main genres. I've recently become interested in fantasy stories set in non-European worlds. For example, the Daevabad Trilogy and the Burning Kingdoms Series. I often dive into sci-fi too. I enjoy series like The Expanse and Dune. I’ve read the original Dune novel five times since high school and have loved how I find new ways of understanding the book as I get older and my experiences change. I've had the opportunity to play a few tabletop role-playing games online with friends, which has been a great way to get started. Although I'm still mostly a novice, these experiences have given me a taste of what TTRPGs are all about. Now, I'm looking for a table where everyone feels respected, cool things can happen, and I can learn and grow with support. I'm excited to meet new people and start a new adventure, and I'm hoping to find a group that will help me grow as a player and a person.
