About me
Hey! I'm James, working as a full time musician and love playing TTRPG's, Warhammer 40k, and all sorts of board games in my free time! Really enjoy playing Warhammer 40k themed games, I read lots of different books based on the vast universe that is 40k, and get totally lost in the variety of stories and settings they take me to! I love seeing developments of characters in stories, how choices can change the outcomes of events (in both big and small ways), and particularly enjoy immersive settings that leave me thinking about it! I've played DnD 5e, Wrath and Glory, Pirate Borg and Wanderhome so far, and have enjoyed playing with lots of different people who play games in different ways!

Honestly wow, had such a wonderful time getting to play mothership with Jess, her smooth flow and quick thinking kept the atmosphere vibrant and entertaining. There were so many great moments where players ventured into potentially unexpected interactions and routes, and seeing Jess embrace and explore these ideas with us on the fly to see where we could go with it really strung out the tension and anticipation. It was so hard to know how anything was going to turn out for us, and it felt super fresh to be in a situation that had us consistently guessing and searching for answers in such a beautifully cultivated way. A considerable amount of thought was put into making the player's experience as comfortable as possible too, she kept a fantastic pace that kept everyone up to speed while making characters (nobody was left behind), and was super clear before we started about what may feature and what would not be featuring in our one-shot session. For a first timer on StartPlaying, this has definitely left me extremely excited to jump back into a game with her! Thank you so much for a great time :)
