I've been part of one of Dax's campaign since a while now and could not recommend him more as a DM. I am always very impressed by the level of preparation he puts into our sessions (including preparing art, music and info in the online platform we use to play) and the in-depth knowledge of the games' rules. And despite all the things he prepares, he always finds a way to include individual players' wishes and give them their space to shine – without making it awkward for other players. This also includes helping newer people find their bearing and giving veterans a challenge. I would describe his way of telling a story as very thorough. He knows the world the game takes place, knows the characters in the world and how the players fit into said world with all it's unique people. Situations never feel forced/unfair and always make sense in the moment – and if they don't, there's probably a mystery to be solved (which Dax manages to help you solve without things becoming frustrating, while still keeping it challenging). I've never had a session with Dax that was boring or annoying. He manages to keep everyone engaged and on their toes and never let's scenes/settings overstay their welcome – for example fights don't necessary have to be pushed through, NPCs aren't too pushy and there is a lot of variation in scenery. And if there ever is a problem, he is open for criticism or for finding solution, either in private communication or in a group discussion. If you want someone who provides you with a smooth and engaging roleplaying experience, you can't go wrong with him. :)
