Matt is an amazing GM! He creates a calm atmosphere that is player-driven and recognizes that we are coming to play a game from all walks of life (and chaotic schedules), so the priority is to enjoy the journey he's guiding us on. He knows the rules but also creates an environment where they can be bent or manipulated in order to make the best experience for the players. This approach removes such a weight for new players and overthinkers. He makes time available to assist with character creations or any questions prior to the session and is patient to handle any of these things during the gameplay itself. He sends music, the group's quest/job information, and any other data prior to a session to set the mood and familiarize us with the world. Again, he is a great GM for intimate character-focused sessions. I was worried trying RPGs online, as I thought it would be hard without a group of people you're comfortable with to really get the most out of the story. However, his style connected us all really fast. Highly recommend!
