I was the first person to sign up for my current campaign with Rui, almost a year ago, and I am not disappointed. I had never played before but had always been curious about the world of D&D and Rui didn't mind at all. He asked me what kind of aspects I was looking forward to in a character and helped me narrow down the Class I wanted from there. He helped explain the mechanics and also ensured we wouldn't encounter anything we were uncomfortable with. After choosing my character, I got lost in creating lore for his background and Rui rolled with it! He took everything I thought of and brought it to life. He continues to do so every week and always ensures every member has their moment to shine. Whether it's deep, emotional moments, sly, behind-the-scenes plotting or comedic, sometimes idiotic, 'accidents'.
