RJ is a true Gem. I've been on his "Whispers of the Red Wizards" campaign for a few months now and I can't get it out of my head. Waiting for the next session to arrive is excruciating. In the most positive way you can think of. RJ runs his sessions super tightly - you get the RP moments, the mystery, the laughs, and to top it off - combat that is both challenging and accessible to new players. But my favorite part is how he's able to run a realistic world - filled with factions, NPCs, and drama - with the most minimal lore dumping I've experienced. Every detail counts and minor coincidences can "foreshadow" later reveals. If you're looking for mature, challenging, fun, yet accessible game - RJ is your man.

Chris is an excellent DM, especially for returning players like me after a 30+ year break. He’s a great teacher - never patronizing, always giving players room to make decisions and learn from mistakes, while stepping in at just the right moments. His campaigns have a fantastic old-school feel: crunchy, tense, deadly combats (often 2–3 per session), mostly RAW but flexible enough to keep things fun. Even after an early TPK, he committed fully. Friendly, encouraging, and never adversarial - highly recommended.
