The most fun I’ve ever had in a tabletop RPG was in a Twilight 2000 campaign run by Kain. Each session kept me on the edge of my seat, and when it ended, I couldn’t stop thinking about it—impatiently awaiting the next one. Kain has a rare talent for creating tension and excitement, balancing gritty realism with player-driven choices. He grounds the story with memorable characters while still leaving plenty of room for creativity, making the game world feel alive and responsive. What really stands out is his skill in weaving a player's actions into the narrative. Every decision mattered, and the consequences always felt both logical and impactful. After each session, we’d find ourselves talking about the events long after the dice stopped rolling, dissecting strategies, reliving moments, and speculating about what might come next. Kain also knows how to pace a campaign. He can build suspense over the course of a session, then deliver payoffs that feel earned and satisfying. His attention to detail, combined with his ability to keep players engaged and immersed, makes him an outstanding DM. If you ever get the chance to partake in a campaign he’s running, do it. You’ll walk away with unforgettable stories, great laughs, and end up like me with strong “just one more game" syndrome.
