I have only had the pleasure of a sew sessions with James, but those were with many players and much fun. He prepares very well for sessions but is very happy to build with players if things go a bit off the rails. You don't need to worry about railroading or being penned in, in my experience. He helped me generate a character for Panic At The Dojo and pointed me towards useful resources. Highly recommend.
