Themes in your backstory will be relevant to the events of the campaign, and the decisions you make will impact the world, because like the best GMs, she will use player's ideas and admit that they are more satisfying than whatever she thought she was about to do. She has a rock solid grasp of mechanics and has taught new players in multiple campaigns, but she's not afraid of a busted minmaxed PC because she's built plenty of those herself.
