I had a wonderful experience with this GM. We just finished the Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign, and even though it’s officially an introductory adventure, he put a lot of effort into making the story engaging and exciting for more experienced players as well. Encounters felt well balanced and consistently hit that “sweet spot” where they were challenging without being overwhelming. I joined the campaign about a third to halfway through, but I never felt like a late addition. My character’s backstory was incorporated into the narrative, and the GM introduced characters and interactions that made it feel like my character had always been part of the story. One thing I especially appreciated was how considerate he was toward the players. If something didn’t work for someone, he was open to discussing it and finding solutions. For example, some players were able to change their character class during the campaign in a way that felt natural within the story, and everyone remained happy with the outcome. He’s also very receptive to feedback and actively implements player suggestions in later sessions, which makes the game feel collaborative and constantly improving. The use of the VTT platform was excellent. Even when there were occasional small technical issues like misplaced walls, everything was well staged and immersive, making it easy to get drawn into the narrative and interact with the world and its characters. Overall, I can give nothing but a clear recommendation. I’m really looking forward to the next campaign and the stories we’ll get to experience together.
