I've been playing at Danil's Daggerheart table for a little while now and it's been a joy! I was new to the system, new to him and new to the group who had already been playing a handful of sessions, so I was a bit nervous about how it'd all work out. Alas, it's worked out wonderfully. In the preparation he took his time to onboard me, answer my questions and concerns and he keeps accessibility etc. in mind. He has a good feeling for the table dynamic and encourages everyone to contribute without there being any pressure. One way in which he really stands out to me is all of the little mechanics and mini games he integrates into the sessions. Be it countdowns to make non-combat challenges interesting or ways to do wagers, competitions with NPCs or mishaps that happen. He builds the world collaboratively: players have agency in how things work in this world, what they're called, what exists. We've been playing a light-hearted campaign with lots of room for humour and needless to say, we laugh plenty every session and there's always the next inside joke waiting around the corner. It also brings out my terrible (or dare I say amazing) puns, which are appreciated and groaned at. Can't wait to play more sessions together! Thanks, Danil :)
