Been playing in Athena's Curse of Strahd campaign for about six months now. She runs a table that actually feels dangerous; combat is challenging and requires you to think, not just roll dice and hope. TPK feels possible in a way that makes the wins mean something. What stands out most is the roleplaying. Her NPCs have actual personalities and motivations. Ireena and Ismark feel like people with their own stakes, not just quest-givers following the party around. She gives space for character moments without letting things drag. Also genuinely receptive to feedback. That's rare. A DM who listens and adjusts is worth a lot. If you want a game that's atmospheric, funny, mechanically honest, and run by someone who actually cares whether you're having fun, this is it.
