Kat is great! Such a blast to play in their game. He is great with staying on top of rules but very much does allow for rule of cool alterations, or for alterations to make certain spells etc run smoother/improved. I've been playing for a couple months and can say that something that sticks out to me is how much Kat is willing to make things work. He always joins session calls early, and is super understanding of the fact that life happens, and is very willing to make things work to the best of their abilities. Sessions are honestly one of the highlights of my week. When talking with Kat before joining he said that if you have a sense of humour then you are a great fit for their party and that is very accurate, there are so many laughs shared amongst the group. Sessions are relaxed enough to allow for conversation and player inputs, but also still structured enough that we stay on track and make progress. The way Kat runs them allows for progress to be made consistently, but also without being railroaded and with breaks in between. There is a really good blend of combat and roleplay, with a lot of alternation allowing for breathing room but still keeping the stakes high. Kat also encourages players to develop and build their characters, and has opened the floor for me to share extra art of my character, and made sure that there are ample opportunities for characters to share details of backstories/personalities. Also the discord has a channel reserved solely for sharing pet photos.
