Big Campaign Jeph

Jeph has spent over a decade building the worlds of his main campaign but even in just a session to session basis, his story planning and world building is such that he doesn't just roll with some of the more interesting things his players do, he remarkably often has full story lines laid out in different directions depending on interactions and choices. As a relative newcomer to Jeph's table, I have none the less seen plots that messed with our heads at "Dark City" levels to easily accessed games of straightforward but satisfying progressions of underdogs becoming heros. The games regularly mix interactions and stories that lean on character skills and player stories with satisfying combat that comes often enough to be important, but not so often as to be overwhelming, or overtake the story. Jeph runs a smart and inclusive table, where players absolutely help drive interesting stories that balance choice with depth, moments of satisfying intensity with moments of brilliant fun, and regularly creates the space for the kind of experience you will want to bother your other friends with by explaining the cool thing that happened in game without letting things slide into clownishness. The only problem with playing in a game with Jeph is that you may find yourself expecting more from other game runners in the future.
