Reviews I've given (1)
I have been in one of Dylan's campaigns for just over a year now; and it has been one of the best campaigns I have been in. 1. He has very detailed lore that is very interesting. My character wanting to learn more about the world bought a book. My plan was to have it read so my character would "know" all of the stuff. However, when I bought it, the book was real! It was detailed and full of the knowledge my character wanted. This is just one example of many as, yes, I have bought more than one book. Besides that though many of the characters have real lives and you can see them outside of their habitat if you would like it call it that. 2. Dylan has created a genuine world. In the places we have been they have been incredibly detailed in what is there. The past 12 or so sessions have been in the capital and I feel like there is still so much to explore whenever we head back. 3. Map details. I honestly have never seen someone who has a more detailed map and sound design outside of literal video games. Dylan uses foundry vtt and uses tons of plug-ins to make the game world feel very alive. The animations, detailed map, sounds and music that change with the scene... the ability to double click pickpocket anyone... and the general interactivity of the map that allows us players to not just ask for details but to actually visually find them is incredibly rewarding. Dylan is overall a very nice and fun guy to hang out with and to have as a DM. There are other things I could say, but I will finish it off saying I genuinely look forward to the years to come of more sessions and campaigns as well.
