For many years, I had written off DND as something that I did not enjoy despite meeting all my preferences on paper. Through many discussions with Em about why past experiences did not click, she curated story and gameplay that was much more to my liking than any of my prior campaigns. She manages a good balance of roleplay and combats which I feel many DMs struggle with. All party members' backstories are seamlessly integrated into the narrative, and she encourages the development of party dynamics. Our campaign has been running for over half a year now, and it still continues to be the highlight of my week. Em is also a professional voice actor who is really able to bring her NPCs to life. I would highly recommend Em to be a DM for any player, regardless of experience. She is amazing at explaining the rules and knows exactly how to balance when to take the reins versus when to let the players dictate the narrative.
