I remember the first time I joined Mike for a game of D&D. I think it was the first more professional game that I had played that wasn't just me and my friends goofing off. So, I was a bit shy when the game first started. However, within the first 10 minutes of the game, Mike had already made me feel a bit more comfortable. I was still a beginner at the time and whenever I had a question (or asked the same question for the 20th time) Mike always greeted me with a positive response. They were willing to explain things I didn't understand in a way that was easy for me to comprehend. It made my time during the game fun, but also a teaching moment whenever I had a question. During the game Mike takes their creativity and runs with it, making for an exciting game with fun characters to interact with! Not to mention when you do talk to characters Mike takes the time to give each one their own unique voice, and I always find it to be funny and interesting. From my own time trying to learn to be a dungeon master, I know a lot of improv is normally done. I normally forget that improv is a thing playing D&D with Mike! Conversations with characters flow so smoothly while still sticking to the story's main plot points, with room for fun banter and silly situations. I was never rushed or pressured when it was my turn during battle scenes, which was another comforting aspect to the game. After the game ends for the day, Mike always gives us a period for questions regarding the story we played through. I would recommend Mike as a dungeon master to anyone, any day. I know I covered a lot of things in this review, but I feel like I could always write more. I'm looking forward to the next game that I go to with him. :)
