About me
After spending 3+ decades in the old coffin (resting), woke up to discover D&D had changed tremendously since the Castle Greyhawk days of yore. Now, instead of hunting victims to drain of blood in this world, I hunt the monsters that populate fantasy worlds. Come play with me.

Someday, when I grow beyond being a mere fantasy RPG player, I hope to be half the narrator and creative genius that is Lavon (aka, Prophet). Prophet's greatness as a D&D Game Master arises from 3 sources: (A) Prophet's tenacious determination to provide a top-end technical experience to player's via the Forge VTT platform. Prophet has nearly a 150 modifications installed in his Forge server environment, everything from automated HP damage to integrated spell mechanics (slot consumption, range, duration, etc.), with on-screen special effects sprinkled on top - it's spectacular! As if this weren't enough, he sets time aside for technical support, when players are having difficulty with the VTT and will even provide training sessions, for those unfamiliar with Forge. [Incidentally, Prophet also integrates great visual aids and background music into his sessions, resulting in a very immersive game experience for all.] (B) Prophet does a great job of role-playing the monsters and NPCs that feature in his stories. This is no trivial feat, as some NPCs have complex motivations and some modules involve convoluted plot lines. Prophet also makes it a point to alter the details of each module just enough to make the material somewhat mysterious, even if you play the same module more than once. (C) Prophet is primarily a RAW ("rules as written") kind of DM. Prophet is, however, quite practical and is not afraid, on the rare occasion when a technical problem or some obscure rule require it, to make a ruling regarding a given game circumstance, rather than letting the fun fade way as he or his players try to locate some hidden nugget of D&D esoterica. To the contrary, Prophet leads and inspires his players to role-play and to act; he will tell you, in uncertain terms, whether you time to parley or if the monster is about to lunge. In summary, Prophet is, in my opinion, the best value in the StartPlayingNow DM space. PS: Prophet is a master of game memes, some of which are hysterically comical.
