Played my first ever D&D session with Rob years ago, and played many games since. He has encyclopedic knowledge of the game's mechanics and, more importantly, understands when those rules need to be tweaked to allow epic moments to happen. There always seems to be something to do no matter where we go in his campaigns, with diverse characters to meet and dungeons to explore.
