Gustaw's personal touch as a GM really sets him apart! He's committed to crafting a narrative that is meaningful to individual PCs, not just one that tells a pre-written story. To do this, he works closely with players on backstory and "knives", and he will frequently homebrew items and abilities that highlight PCs' individual flavor and connection to the world (which he builds out extensively). His Foundry setup with thematic music and scene-setting is immersive without ever getting in the way of fluid gameplay. Combat is less of a focus with Gustaw than with many other GMs I've played with, but it's always incredibly well executed, with complex tactical elements, firm grasp of game rules, interesting battle maps, and plenty of "rule of cool" rulings that highlight PCs at their best.
