About me
I enjoy a good story more than a tactical wargame. And that doesn't mean I feel that all of the pressure of creating the story lies on the shoulders of the referee. It's a group activity and I think everyone's ideas as well as their PCs' bios and goals should drive alot of the narrative. I have played and GM'd many different systems over the years. From more traditional games like various versions of D&D, VtM, GURPS, and Cpunk2020, to more narrativist games like My Life With Master, Mountain Witch, Lady Blackbird and FATE. I don't think I'd enjoy a completely social game with no dice (like Amber) but on the other hand I don't think I'd enjoy simply pushing minis across the table for hours. Everyone loves a good balance of all the elements of a great story - danger, investigation, imperfect heroes, clever combat, and interesting relationships (between the PCs and the NPCs).
