Takeshi

Tyson is an endlessly inventive and inviting GM. I've played games with them for about 5 years now, with a variety of game systems and groups, and I've always had a great time. The worlds and stories they create are intricate, immersive, unexpected, and thoroughly satisfying. They're a wonderful actor and improviser, and a GM I totally trust with my characters. They're also very compassionate and empathetic, and I've never had any issues with a boundary being crossed or being made to feel unsafe in one of their games. They're always coming up with challenging and creative encounters and opportunities, they're super knowledgeable when it comes to game rules (as well as when to bend them), and offer a really refreshing degree of personal freedom to players in how we approach the world and story. They're also a very good teacher when it comes to introducing players to brand new games and systems, and a review of them wouldn't be complete without noting the wonderful props they use in their games, such as hand-drawn world maps. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a GM!
