About me

Most of my experience in TTRPGs is old-school Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 1st edition. (Yes, I'm that old!). I have been playing Pathfinder 2E for about 18 months after a 20-year TTRPG hiatus. I have a good understanding of PF2E rules, although from a player perspective. I am fairly comfortable with Foundry VTT but I am not an expert by any means. I like both combat and roleplay. I want my characters to have a backstory and motivations. A certain level of intrigue is good, but the initial seasons of Game of Thrones intrigue would be a bit too much for me. Also, I'm not a huge fan of puzzles, although this may have been due to playing primarily in small groups. I am highly introverted by nature. I will likely be quiet initially as I get to know both the GM and the players. Over time as I grow comfortable, I will open up more, but I would always be considered 'quiet' compared to the average player.

I had the privilege of gaming with Muerte as a fellow player in my first PF2E campaign, the first TTRPG I played in about 20 years. Muerte has been invaluable in helping me rediscover the joy in this hobby from all those years ago. It did not take long for me to know that I wanted to play at one of his tables as soon as I had an opportunity. It took a few months before I could, but there was finally an opening for a level 20 one-shot, and this was my first experience with high-level play in PF2E. He created an interesting and entertaining scenario and was a patient teacher which was greatly appreciated. This led to me joining a high-level adventure path, which is coming to an awesome finish despite challenges beyond his control. I’ve enjoyed my time with him as a player and at his tables so much that I have joined another of his tables, this one starting at level 1. It's too bad that the reviews only allow you to pick three tags, I would select them all because they all fit. He is patient with new players and has taught me much about PF2E and Foundry VTT. His Foundry VTT has many quality-of-life mods that support gameplay. The visuals and sounds are amazing and while he allows the "rule of cool", if you abuse it or try too many shenanigans, it will likely not end well for you. Actions have consequences in Muerte’s games, but I have always found him to be fair and considerate of his players. I highly recommend any game he is a part of, whether a player or GM, to TTRPG veterans and beginners.

Dessa is an awesome GM! She was very patient and helpful with our group that was new to or relatively inexperienced with PF2E and Foundry. She has a robust Foundry VTT setup, and while that is not crucial to enjoying an online game, it certainly helps. In addition to being a good teacher, Dessa is also an engaging and descriptive storyteller. She encouraged and rewarded the creative use of our abilities and equipment to solve challenges. I wish I could select more than three tags to describe her games. I recommend her games for beginners and non-beginners alike

Moonbreaker is an amazing GM. How good is she? My character died 10 minutes into a session and I still had a great time! Yes, she's that good! (Before anyone asks, I did play the rest of the session so that is not a concern.) It's too bad that the reviews only allow you to pick three tags, I would select them all because they all fit. The visuals and sounds are amazing and while she allows the "rule of cool" if you abuse it or try too many shenanigans, you will regret it. Actions will have consequences in her games, but that applies to good and bad outcomes. However, as a beginner with both Pathfinder 2E and Foundry, what stands out the most to me is her patience and willingness to teach. I am a 20-year veteran of TTRPGs, but that experience dates back to 1E/2E Advanced Dungeons and Dragons and I have not played any TTRPGs in 20+ years. Moonbreaker has been invaluable in helping me rediscover the fun I had in the hobby from all those years ago. If a spot opens in one of her games, grab it and hold on with both hands, you will not be disappointed!

While Rae may be a new GM here on this platform, it is obvious that he is an experienced GM. I am still new to PF2E and Foundry; he has been patient and helpful with my questions. Going into our campaign, he asked what our group wanted to focus more on (roleplay or combat), how tactically difficult we wanted our combats to be, etc... He will tailor the game to the style and difficulty level the group requests. On a personal note, I am extremely introverted and can be painfully quiet around someone I do not know until I am comfortable with them. This is magnified in a group setting, even as small as a typical TTRPG group. After a session in which I was quiet, he made sure to check in after the session to make sure everything was good, which it was. It was comforting to know that if there were a problem, this GM would take the time to check in on his players and give them a chance to raise any concerns or issues. Bottom line, I have been, until very recently, on a 20+ year hiatus from TTRPGs. Rae has helped me find the joy I once had in this hobby all those years ago and like then, I look forward to the next session almost as soon as the current one ends. I recommend him as a GM for all experience levels, beginner and veteran alike.
