Been playing with Branden for 32 sessions on his home brew campaign called Mystery of Frostbite Mine. Started way back in March 2023. We still have five of the original 6 members still playing. Only lost one due to a job change. What I like about Branden is he allows us to develop our team in any direction (side quests, picking up NPC pets, downtime character improvements). The main story line is always there and we as a team can approach it directly or indirectly. Branden follows the standard D&D rules but is flexible when the time is right. He even developed a few enhancements to the game like if two or more team members have the same initiative rolls then a bonus is given to the players during combat when they coordinate their actions. The campaign engages the entire team to solve the mystery currently at hand and we had some excellent battles. Even if we choose a usual direction to approach a problem, Branden can work this into the story line. He keeps excellent notes just in case we forget something. So I am looking forward to completing this campaign since I just found out this week that the plan is to allow our character to achieve level 20 before it is all over.
