Korbin puts effort into his games and specifically making the game fun for every player, working in tandem with them to present a story that is both gripping and tied to every character's backstory in a way that feels natural and interesting. He uses foundry to the penultimate of it's ability, showing videos, making his own music and trailers for his games, showing art of every NPC and area along with a curated playlist to go along with any mood to really immerse you in the game. I don't think there is another DM out there that puts the kind of time and effort into his games like Korbin does. The quality of the game will be evident from the first session, and even in character creation before that first session comes. He is a fair DM, who knows the rules, but is not afraid to introduce his own mechanics and keep things interesting. He will work with the players to make sure they can do what they want with their characters, whether that be developing an entirely new mechanic for them, or tweaking the rules when needed to give a specific highlight moment for a character, very 'rule of cool' style of DM'ing, but specifically in the favor of the players. His characters are interesting and well-developed, he never hesitates to voice them and fully commit to the concept of a character, even if it may be a bit silly or embarassing. You will get full commitment and immersion. I could not compliment his DM'ing enough, as a player it is the perfect game if you want to have fun, play a character with deep ties to a well crafted story, and interact with a world that feels completely unique and interesting. If I had to nit-pick issues, I might say that the games are much more railroady and streamlined, which I personally like a well crafted well steered game more than a sandbox, but some players might not prefer that. The only other issue is if you are mechanically new or slow to pick up new mechanics, you may get overwhelmed with his introduction of things like dynamic puzzles and scenarios mid session. Overall, Korbin is a near perfect DM who I believe is on the same tier as someone like Matt Mercer, Matt Coville, or Brennan Lee Mulligan, who, if given a platform to show it, would impress and inspire players and DM's alike to attempt to emulate his unique style.
