About Me

I'm a design director and data scientist. I guide the design of products and services that take advantage of machine learning technologies (AI). My three most important pillars in role playing games are: - *Creativity* (in character design, role playing, clever non-combat solutions to problems, imaginative combat maneuvers, etc.) - *Storytelling* (writing a good story together beats _winning_ a game; best stories and characters are made interesting by flaws, secrets, unattainable ambitions, and dramatic arcs) - *Inclusivity* (my highest priority is everybody at the table having fun, finding enough space to express themselves, and feeling safe and relaxed; there are no character goals, items, or actions within a game that are more important than every player and the GM having a great time) Some of my hobbies include building custom mechanical keyboards, composing music, chess, cinema (with a particular interest in the French New Wave), history (with a specialization into the politics of the Ancient Roman Republic towards its end), sharpshooting, writing sudden fiction, lock picking, fashion, and now once again after decades: D&D. I speak English, German, and Turkish (and just a bit of French and ASL, but neither of them enough to play rpgs). I have two Master's degrees and a Ph.D. (in Materials Sci, Chem & Biol Eng), as well as an art history minor.
