I’ve been playing with Vale for about two years now and he’s honestly really good. I have my frustrations from time to time but they’re less on him and more when I’m having a bad day! (Mostly I was raised in a tabletop environment that was largely theater of the mind and he prefers each step be plotted out carefully to ensure all players, even those lacking more active imaginations, can have full immersion...so even my personal qualms are overall positive!) the great thing is, if you do have an issue, he genuinely wants your feedback and will try his best to meet your needs. He genuinely cares about providing a good experience for all players and finding ways to integrate their ideas into his world. He’s put a tremendous amount of effort into world building and every place we visit and NPC on the board feels like a character I might see again. The story itself is rich and engaging and truly leaves you craving the next session. Even when we players are perhaps rubbing each other the wrong way he always mediates well and puts the whole of the party first above anything else. He’s also incredibly flexible, allowing players to refill and retire as needed, shuffling around schedules so we can play more often (or less if need be), and been incredibly understanding when real life keeps us from playing. He’s even let us schedule private bonus one-off sessions for holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. I hope to keep playing with him for a long time!
