I want to say that when I first started with ArchDruid, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had never played online as a D&D player before. He made it easy without making fun of my "newb" status while getting me super excited in the game. When my first group broke up, he immediately found me a second. The second group didn't last long, but not because of ArchDruid. The party had serious scheduling conflicts and couldn't hang out anymore. That group breaking up prompted me to find a new GM since ArchDruid was unavailable. Unfortunately, that group was over-full of testosterone and didn't appreciate a woman's point of view with a GM who was constantly allowing others to argue with him and make him change his mind. I contacted ArchDruid and told him I was upset I couldn't join one of his games instead of sticking with the one I had stumbled on. ArchDruid immediately rearranged his schedule and created a new game for me on Wednesday nights—yes, for me!! I invited one of my female friends and my 18-year-old son, and we have been playing in a group of five since. He started a game for us on Wednesday nights called DCC (Dungeon Crawl Classics). While it is not your typical 5e game, it has all the parts and pieces of 5e but is played differently. I'm loving it, and so is our group! The aspects of starting at level 0 and earning every single thing we do make it that much better. There are no "freebies," and you learn much as you go. I highly recommend giving it a try! As one of his long-lasting followers, I can't recommend ArchDruid enough, especially if you want to step out of your comfort zone and start something new - with friends, family, or random strangers. He does excellent at managing all players gracefully and decorously while not allowing anyone to feel trampled on or forgotten. One last thing: ArchDruid, I wrote your review. Even if every word I said was accurate, I took the time to write it down. Now, you give me back my bow! (he didn't force me, and this is a private joke) Drezna.
