Reviews I've given (1)
I've been fortunate enough to play with Christian both as fellow players and under him as a DM. When it comes to rules, being someone who is more used to homebrew settings and thus usually more flexible rulings from past games, I've found Christian to be very fair when it comes to the rules. He isn't afraid to use rule of cool in appropriate moments to make moments more impactful in games. I'm much more interested in roleplay and storytelling when it comes to D&D and Christian certainly seems to enjoy finding ways to work characters into the world we're playing. Even a couple months into a game we're currently playing, when I was experiencing issues with my character and how I was playing her, he didn't hesitate to help me work on a more solid foundation for my characters story. His NPCs always have a charm to them, they're lovable and diverse and he's always engaged in our interest towards said npcs. Be it jokingly hypothetical or legitimate ways to maybe tweak their involvement in the story later on. Christian will actively engage with you when it comes to player/npc roleplay and tends to allow for a lot of player creative freedom when it comes to character creation (within reason of course). Christian genuinely has yet to disappoint me when it comes to his games. He has a knack for setting the scene in a way that will have the rest of us players listening to him attentively and has always been understanding when it comes to tackling sensitive subjects in game. He's always shown a care for his players wellbeing, something I personally greatly appreciate. Highly recommend him, looking forward to next week!
