The following qualities are what make Kylara an excellent DM: - They are an amazing storyteller and have boundless creativity. They work to include variety in both combat and RP experiences so that everyone has a good time. They also work really hard to help tie in backstories and make the story feel lived in and unique to each character/person that is playing. - They are a very inclusive and safe DM and you can always talk to them if something is triggering or you need to set boundaries/want to exclude certain types of heavy content. - They understand the difference between in and out of game issues and resolve those issues in the right way, usually with communication first and then a ban if the person doesn't get the hint. - They are very well-versed in the rules and use that knowledge to make quick rulings as well as to help players find a character that really suits the ideas in their heads. - None of their NPCs feel like annoying copies or endless "Mr. Anderson" type vibes. Every NPC is unique and it feels like talking to new people in the world, even if their voices aren't different/changed up. The way the characters interact with you makes you feel like you are actually in the world and on an adventure. - They are really great at encouraging party cooperation and helping people RP better with each other. During our games, I always have had fun and been eager to return to play with the DM and other table members. The story is always engaging and there's never a dull moment. Even when it's not your turn, you still are on the edge of your seat rooting for your friends and interested in whatever action or roleplaying moment is going on. I can't recommend them enough.
